The Beginning
Troop 324 was founded in 1999 when eight cub scouts from Pack 323 each received their Arrow of Light. At this time there was not a boy scout troop chartered to Wixom, Michigan. The current cubmaster wanted the spirit if scouting to live on in these young boys, thus Troop 324 was formed. The cubmaster of Pack 323 became the scoutmater of Troop 324. The cubs became scouts. Cub scout Pack 323 became the feeder pack for the newly established Troop 324. You can visit Pack 323's homepage here.

How We Work
Like many Boy Scout troops, Troop 324 is a boy led troop. Our adult leaders are here to guide. This method ensures that our scouts get the most out of scouting. We meet two times a month, have one campout a month, and also one day event a month. We go to summer camp once a year. We have been to Lost Lake Scout Reservation, Owasippe Scout Reservation, Camp Freedom (Heritage Reservation), and Woodland Trails. Our meetings take place at the VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars) hall in Wixom. Our campouts usually take place at Kensington Rec., Brighton Rec., or Highland Rec., but we also camp at other locations. Our day events are meant to teach scouts a certain skill, such as cooking, winter camping, pioneering, orienteering.

Troop Structure
Our troop is divided into four patrols, the Frogs, the Cobras, the Wild Cats, and OTH. OTH stands for Over The Hill, which is the patrol for our adult leaders. Our troop has an SPL, ASPL, a Patrol Leader and Assistant Patrol Leader for each patrol, a Quartermaster, a Historian, a Webmaster, and a Troop Guide.

Eagles
Our troop currently has two eagles, Michael Ostach and Adam Schoder. Eric Goodwin and Josh Schoder are soon to be. Congratulations to them!
